Terrorists Strike Again at Mumbai

Terrorists have struck once again on the financial capital of India, Mumbai yesterday , making three successive bomb blasts in the crowded areas of Zaveri bazaar, Opera house and Dadar areas of Mumbai. The three bomb blasts occurred successively between 6.50 p.m. and 7.04 p.m. Atleast 141 people have been  injured and 21 people are feared dead. The first bomb blast occurred at 6.50 p.m. in Zaveri bazaar area, a crowded  jewellery market , next one at Opera house area famous for its  diamond business, around 6.51 p.m. and the third at Dadar around 7.04p.m.
While no organization has claimed any responsibility for this ghastardly act, it is suspected that the Pakistan backed militant organization Indian Mujahideen is behind this act.  A red alert has been issued all over India fearing  more such incidents. People were in a shock as the TV channels and media beamed pictures of  bomb blast with maligned bodies and wreckage of  cars and scooters scattered all around  the scene of crime. This has once again brought back the memories of previous blasts, especially, the blasts of  November 26,2008 which have been known as 26/11 blasts to the people.
This is the fifth such bomb blast in Mumbai,   the first bomb blast ( or a series of 13 blasts)that rocked the city on March 12,1993, was carried out by the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim at the behest of Pakistan, killing 250 people and injuring 700 people. The second blasts  were carried out on August 25,2003 at Gateway of India and Zaveri Bazar killing 54 people and injuring 244 people. The third one( a series of seven blasts in a gap of 11minutes) on July 11,2006 in local trains of Mumbai ,killing 200 people and injuring 850 people. The fourth one and much highlighted blast in which the terrorists openly attacked people and challenged the law enforcement agencies were carried out at ten different places , killing 166 people and injuring 308 people  occurred on 26 November,2008, is popularly remembered as 26/11 attack.
While the failure of intelligence in assessing the threat and monitoring the activities  of the militiant groups is clearly visible, what is to be seen is what the Government of India will do now, will it once again just  blame Pakistan for these acts and launch a media campaign for some time and then forget the issue  or will it take some concrete measures against  Pakistan  and the underworld mafia which has links with Pakistan   to counter the threat to our nation. Even a child in India knows that every major bomb blasts that have occurred in any corner of India can be linked to Pakistan and ISI  and their collaborators here ,the underworld gangs in Mumbai. Let us just wait and see and hope for the best…….. JAI HIND.

My deepest and heartfelt  condolences to the family members of the people who died in these blasts….May the souls of the dead rest in peace and May God give strength to the people who have lost their near and dear  ones, to carry on with life as usual.
